Senior Kaylee Caron has been named the 2023 Athena Award Winner from Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) high school. The Athena Award is based on nominations and votes by head coaches (of girls' teams) and recognizes one outstanding senior female athlete each year.
Kaylee's athletic career as a Star spans four sports - volleyball, basketball, softball, and football; she lettered in all of them. Athletic Director Carolyn Arnebeck shared, "Kaylee is a well-rounded athlete who makes a difference in all of the sports that she participates in. She does both the big and small things in competition to make her team better. I wish Kaylee the best of luck in her future endeavors. I know she'll do wonderful things in both college and in the ROTC program."
Kaylee, a resident of Eden Prairie, attended Blessed Trinity Catholic School in Richfield for grade school. Kaylee has not yet selected a college, but she plans to major in mechanical engineering and join the Air Force ROTC.
