AHA senior Kassandra Caron has been named the 2022 Athena Award Winner from Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) high school. The Athena Award recognizes an outstanding senior female athlete each year.

Upon learning the news, Athletic Director Michael Kautzman commented, "Especially in this year as we recognize the 50th Anniversary of Title IX, we are blessed to have positive leaders and multi-sport athletes like Kassie setting a great example for the younger girls participating in our programs."

Kassie began playing with the STARS during her freshman year. A resident of Eden Prairie, she attended Blessed Trinity Catholic School for grade school. Next year, Kassie will attend Missouri Western State University. She plans on continuing to play basketball at the collegiate level for the Griffons and majoring in physical education or pre-law.
