On Monday, September 21, the Minnesota State High School League’s Board of Directors approved bringing football and volleyball back to the fall season. The football season will officially begin on Monday, September 28, and will consist of six regular season games, which will begin the week of October 5. As of now, there is a two-week football postseason scheduled to begin on November 16.
Volleyball will also begin on Monday, September 28, and will play an eleven-week season. Matches can begin on Thursday, October 8, and postseason play is scheduled to begin the week of November 30.
Both of these plans fit within COVID-19 guidance of the Minnesota Department of Health and we will continue to follow our COVID-19 Response Plan here at AHA.
Schedules for both sports are currently being adjusted and modified. You can find completed schedules at www.trimetro.org once they are finished.
Information about fan attendance will be available soon. All home games and matches will be live streamed through the NFHS Network, which can be found HERE.
The MSHSL Board of Directors will be meeting next week to discuss winter sports and activities. At this time, no decision has been made about potential start dates.
Good luck to both Football and Volleyball as they officially begin the 2020 season on Monday!
