Fall Sports Update

The AHA girls and boys soccer teams opened up their 2020 season with impressive victories over Fridley on Friday, 8/28. In order to comply with Covid-19 and Minnesota Department of Health regulations, we are continuing to limit fan attendance to 120 people at this time. We are giving priority to the families that have students participating in our soccer program. A reminder that for each family a parent must be present - no unaccompanied students. The Tri-Metro Conference does not allow any away fans at any varsity games.

The fall dance team will be dancing at halftime at both varsity soccer games on 9/11 and at future varsity home games as well. You can watch both the soccer teams and our fall dance team in action by subscribing to our online NFHS streaming service found HERE.

The cross country team had their first meet this week and have enjoyed getting back on the course and racing.

The girls tennis team has a record number of participants and have won several matches already this season. On Tuesday, they won the “Battle of the Tracks” trophy in a match with Richfield High School 4-3.

The swim co-op with Richfield High School is going well. We have a lot of new interest in the program and the girls are enjoying the convenience of practice being in the great facility at the Richfield Middle School.

The fall football and volleyball practice seasons will begin on Sept. 14th. Anyone interested in playing either of these sports needs to be fully registered and cleared prior to the first practice. Visit our sports website HERE and go to the ‘Register’ tab for more information regarding registration. The $50 registration fee will cover both the fall practice season and the spring competition season.
