Senior Isabelle Henry has been named the 2020 Athena Award Winner from Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) high school. The Athena Award recognizes an outstanding senior female athlete each year.

Isabelle is a seasoned athlete and her accomplishments are many in both track and basketball. In track, she earned all-conference recognition during her ninth, tenth, and eleventh grade seasons, was a state participant in 2019, and was a four-year letter winner as well. She holds the AHA school record in both the 4 x 100 relay and the 4 x 200 relay.

During her basketball career at AHA, she played on the state tournament teams all four years. She also lettered all four years of her basketball seasons.

Isabelle is recognized as a leader by her coaches and her teammates. She served as team captain in track and was captain of basketball both her junior and senior years.

Commented Michael Kautzman, athletic director, of the Athena Award Winner, “Isabelle has had a great career as a multi-sport athlete excelling in both basketball and track while exemplifying the AHA Way in captaining both teams. We are very proud of her!"

Isabelle is from Prior Lake and attended St. Michael's Catholic School for grade school. Following graduation from AHA this spring, she plans on attending Carleton College in Northfield where she will major in pre-veterinary medicine and play collegiate basketball.
