Spring & Summer Special Event News

Dear AHA Family,

As we take time to reflect during this Holy Week, we pray that you and your loved ones are in good health and good spirits.

Our team has been analyzing important decisions amid COVID-19 regarding our spring and summer special events. These events, including Starfest, Angies Luncheon, Rock the Lawn, and Shoot for the Stars Golf Tournament, represent what is best about this community: committed parents, dedicated alum, best-in-class faculty, coaches, and advisors, and a fun, supportive AHA spirit! Collectively, these events, plus spring annual giving, also generate approximately $600,000 of new, critical funds to support our 634 students and 56 teachers.

In order to take seriously our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19, we have made the difficult but dutiful decision to transition these physical events and combine them into one large virtual Starfest Week of Giving to be held from May 8 – May 15, 2020. We know this community can do great things, and we are confident that by combining efforts and moving fundraising online, we will include even more community members!

You have you supported AHA in the past! Perhaps you gave an annual gift and/or paid to attend Starfest, Rock the Lawn, or Shoot for the Stars Golf Tournament. Perhaps you donated your time or an in-kind item to the Angies Luncheon or the auction. We are asking you to direct that same support, plus a little more, to Starfest Week of Giving.

We will be sharing more details about Starfest Week of Giving soon, and we will highlight the spirit of each of these unique events and their respective audiences in this combined campaign. We hope every one of our community members – near and far, new and old – will take part in one way or another during the week of May 8 - 15.

As we celebrate the renewal of life this Easter, we also have a renewed commitment to our AHA families, our state, and our entire world during these unprecented times. Our mission at AHA remains steadfast and our community's support is needed now more than ever. If we all do our part, our students and teachers will come through this challenge ready to thrive for years to come.

If you're interested in supporting the Starfest Week of Giving today, you may do so by clicking here. We look forward to coming together to celebrate and support our Stars!

In unity and gratitude,
