Service Recognition Breakfast

Academy of Holy Angels students who served more than 25 hours this summer celebrated with a brief reception and recognition of their efforts led by Paul Ruhland, theology and service coordinator, and Heidi Foley, principal.

At the gathering, which took place on October 17th, senior Natalia Alfonzo presented her summer experience to the group. As part of her message, Natalia reminded her schoolmates to consider the long term good that students do when they serve and encouraged her peers to work on the root causes of issues today.

Service is part of the culture at AHA - and it is integrated into all aspects of school life, including academics, student organizations, athletics and as a yearly service requirement. Through AHA's service requirement, each AHA student will complete at least 75 hours of service over the course of 4 years at AHA.
