Jackie Poidinger has been named the new head coach of the softball team at Academy of Holy Angels. Jackie will bring a background of both playing and coaching softball to this role as head coach.
Jackie played softball collegiately at University of Wisconson-La Crosse and has extensive coaching experience over the last several years on the grade school level, high school, as well as club level. Jackie most currenlty served as the head junior varsity coach of the Stars program and was an assistant on last year's State Consolation Championship team.
Michael Kautzman, athletic director, commented, "Jackie has a positive demeanor, strong administrative skills, knowledge of the game, and a strong connection to our grade school feeder system. She was well-respected by the girls in our program and played an important role as an assistant coach in last year's State Consolation Championship team. She will be a great leader and role model for our student-athletes."
After Jackie received her undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse, she went on to receive her masters in public administration and management from Hamline University. For the past 20 years, she has worked in the public health care sector and is currently the Hennepin County Human Services and Public Health Department Program Manager.
