Service hours for grades 10-12 can be submitted right away

Students that completed service hours (not the same as work study hours) during the summer can add hours to x2VOL to meet their service requirement for the upcoming year. Remind them to login through Naviance Family Connection, available on the Students tab of the AHA website. Students in grades 10-12 need 20 hours submitted between June 5, 2018 and May 25, 2019. Students earning Blue (for 40 hours) and Gold (for 60 hours) need to have those hours completed and submitted between June 5, 2018 and May 1, 2019. When students attend mission trips and other immersion experiences, they can submit a maximum of 8 hours per day for each day. Ninth graders will get information and account info at the end of September.

2018-19 PACC Course registration will occur in the Fall

AHA offers PACC courses through the University of St. Mary's. PACC courses are accredited by St. Mary's and give AHA students college credit for earning passing grades in the following AP classes: US History, Government, Spanish, Biology, Chemistry, Language & Composition, Literature & Composition, Calculus AB/BC, Statistics. Read more about PACC, and if you have questions about the program, see your counselor, the teacher of the course, or Principal Heidi Foley.

Students will be reminded of PACC registration in the first week of 18-19's classes. Registration will occur in September.

Update on safety and security measures

School safety and security is important to all of us. At AHA, we have taken steps over the past few years to control who enters the building by having only one entrance available during the school day and by having a lobby supervisor to greet visitors and have them sign in. Last year, we also asked AHA staff to meet their visitors to escort them through the building.

As added security, we have installed a buzzer system to the Main Lobby Entrance. When you visit AHA from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., you will be required to be buzzed in. The buzzer is located inside the Convocation Center doors to the right. You must press the button for the lobby supervisor who will activate the entrance to the building. This process allows us to further control who enters the building. We will begin to use this process on Tuesday, September 4.
Thank you for your assistance, as we continue to review how we can keep our students, staff and visitors safe.

Plan ahead for road construction

There are many ongoing road construction projects in the area. Please allow extra time for the morning commute. Students are tardy if not in their classroom by the time the bell rings at 7:50 am.

Follow us on social media

Rosary on Wednesdays

A group of faculty and staff meet every Wednesday morning at 7:15 a.m. to pray the rosary during Ordinary Time in the Chapel on the 2nd floor. Please join us if your schedule allows - all are welcome.  We are usually done by 7:30 a.m. so you are able to get on with the rest of your busy day.

Booster Club passes are available online

The AHA Booster Club sponsors a pass that is available for purchase and provides admission to all home athletic events (excluding hockey and MSHSL tournaments) and admission to all home fine art activities. The pass application is available here.
