At today's Convocation, the Academy of Holy Angels faculty, staff and student body celebrated the accomplishments of eleven male students who have earned their Eagle Scout Award and three female students who will earn their Girls Scouts Gold Award.
The Eagle Scout is the highest rank in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). The designation of Eagle Scout was founded over one hundred years ago and only four percent of Boy Scouts are granted this rank. To have eleven Eagle Scouts in AHA's senior class of 175 students is remarkable. The rank requires years of dedication and involves a lengthy review process. Congratulations to the following seniors on their earning Eagle Scout rank!
Eagle Scout Award Recipients:
The Girl Scout Gold Award represents the highest achievement in Girl Scouting and recognizes girls who demonstrate extraordinary leadership through projects that have sustainable impact on their communities and beyond. Only 5.4% of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn the Gold Award. Seniors Nora Huberty, Holly Lutgen and Katie Kistler are all working on their respective projects and have plans in place to earn their Gold Awards in the near future.
Congratulations to our Scouts and Stars!
