Caitlin Howe has been named the new head coach of the girls lacrosse team at Academy of Holy Angels (AHA). Howe will bring a varied lacrosse background that consists of many years of experience both coaching and playing the sport.
Howe is currently the assistant coach at Team Minnesota; Team Minnesota is a local lacrosse academy that focuses on improving players’ decision-making and fundamentals through positive coaching and playing top competition. Coaches there also help guide student-athletes with their college options should they want to pursue lacrosse. Previously, Howe worked as head coach for White Bear Lake Area Youth Lacrosse and also worked as co-head coach for Duluth Area Youth Lacrosse.
“Caitlin's experience as a player and coach on various levels from grade school to club to the collegiate level as well as her positive demeanor and energy are going to make her a great coach for AHA. She is the right person at the right time for this position,” says AHA Athletic Director Michael Kautzman.
Howe’s recent experience as a player includes serving as team captain and president for the University of Minnesota - Duluth women's lacrosse team. She is employed with Bevsource as a supply chain assistant.
