Dear Friends of Academy of Holy Angels,
Today, we begin Catholic Schools Week, and I want to take this opportunity to say thank you! Whether a current parent, past parent, or alumni of Academy of Holy Angels (AHA), choosing a Catholic high school education is a commitment that, together, we remember and celebrate this week. Your commitment comes in many forms - ranging from tuition payments to the many driving trips to transport your child to and from events.
We hope you have seen and continue to experience the Holy Angels' difference that makes our world a better place for all! These days, AHA is abuzz with positive initiatives that build on the rich past of our cherished alumni who have walked through our doors and look to a bright future for generations to come. This past year, we've seen improvements in everything from renovated classrooms, a new athletic field in process, and a resurfaced parking lot. Less seen is the school’s commitment to its faculty in the form of competitive salaries. These initiatives and others that are planned help continue a tradition of academic excellence and a culture of service and outreach that prepares students for college and beyond. People are noticing the good things happening here at Holy Angels as seen in everything from a 40 student increase in enrollment in this academic year to a 50 student increase in turnout at this fall’s Open House that looks to the 2018-19 school year. As President Tom Shipley often says, “It’s a great time to be a Star!”
Catholic schools make a difference. As I’m in different places on weekends celebrating Mass, I often meet people from Holy Angels and have the opportunity to hear their stories firsthand. Althought these stories are all unique in their own ways, what I find as a constant is a genuine appreciation of people looking back at the foundation that their Catholic school experience provided them. On behalf of the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, and administration of Academy of Holy Angels, I want to personally thank you for your ongoing commitment to Catholic education and all that we do together as a school in bringing God’s love to others.
Sincerely in Christ,
Father Mike Tix
Chaplain & Member of the Board of Trustees
