Juniors will be released for the day when they complete their test. If your student is ill or absent on September 22, they can still take the Practice ACT at Sylvan's Edina location. Email Ms. Kjorstad for more information. If you have questions about the Practice ACT, please contact Ms. Kjorstad at firstname.lastname@example.org.

WE WANT YOU TO KNOW
More than $4000 raised for Hurricane Harvey Relief
AHA student government collected money on Wednesday, September 13th for Hurricane Harvey relief. More than $4000 is being sent to the Department of Catholic Schools at the Houston/Galveston Archdiocese. It will be used to assist their families with gift cards to hardware, groceries, home goods, as well as tuition assistance so that they can continue to provide education and pay their staff. Thank you to all who supported this effort.
NetClassroom Login Information
Netclassroom is the online grading portal where students and parents can see daily assignments, daily grades, schedules and where mid-trimester and trimester report cards are posted. If you have forgotten your NetClassroom login information, you can have it sent to you with the "forgot password" link on the "Update my Contact" login page in the Parent portal. Enter the email where you receive AHA communications and a link to reset your password will be sent. If this does not work, call the main office at 612-798-2600 and we can look up your information for you.
Be Nice to Our Neighbors
Some reminders for driving around campus:
And for parking on campus:
Slow down; pedestrians and other vehicles are counting on you to protect them. There is no need for speed in the parking lot, the driveway or anywhere you are driving.
Obey stop signs by stopping completely, looking both ways and proceeding carefully.
Use the proper entrances and exits: your choices are Wentworth Ave or the main driveway from Nicollet. Please stay off of Blaisdell Ave and keep out of the south parking lot of the church. There are cones to protect parishioners and the BT students. Please do not drive through them or move them.
If you are leaving the back AHA lots (i.e. the junior lot, the lot outside the main door), you are supposed to go straight to Nicollet Ave; not turn right into the church lot (where it says “no right turn”).
Park in your assigned spots; if you do not know where that is, please ask. The church has the middle part of the lot for their daily needs (i.e. Mass, funerals, other events).
When someone does not follow these practices, it reflects on our whole community.
Thank you for your cooperation.
NHS Tutoring available
NHS (National Honor Society) holds weekly drop in tutoring sessions for any student at AHA. The sessions are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:15 - 7:45 am in the LaRock room (which is connected to the library). Your student can drop by and ask questions about a homework assignment, a specific concept from a class, or to get a paper proofread. No appointments are needed, the tutors (who are senior NHS members) are there waiting to answer questions, just look for the signs saying NHS tutoring.
In addition to the drop-in tutoring, NHS members can be requested for one-on-one tutoring for your son or daughter. If this is something that you are interested in, please contact Lindsay Stone at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
A reminder about AHA's medication policy
AHA does NOT have a school supply of any medicine. You must provide to the school nurse a supply of any medicine that your child needs to take along with the proper consent form. This includes ibuprofen, acetaminophen, inhalers, epipens, and Benadryl. The complete policy can be found in the student handbook. You can also find all of the needed consent forms on the website. If you have any questions, please contact School Nurse Jan Nordstrom at email@example.com.
