Head Cross Country Coach Announced

Jason Sheeley ’92 has been named as Academy of Holy Angels' new head cross country coach.  Coach Sheeley has an extensive background in cross country which includes running for the AHA Stars where he was two-time All-Conference cross country and state track qualifier in the 1600, running in college, and most recently serving as head boys' cross country coach at Shakopee High School for the last fourteen seasons.

Jason has been instrumental in building the Shakopee Cross Country program.  During his fourteen year tenure, he has grown the overall program numbers from 29 to 130 runners, taken several individuals to state, won two conference championships, and advanced his teams to state two times.  Coach Sheeley was named South Suburban Coach of the Year in 2014.

“As an alum of Holy Angels and an experienced head coach, Jason is the perfect person to take over the AHA cross country program.   As a long-time teacher, he understands the importance of developing great student-athletes.   I believe Jason will help to continue to build the AHA cross country program while helping each of our individual student-athletes to reach their fullest potential," said Athletic Director Michael Kautzman.
