Hello Fellow Academy of Holy Angels Alumni,

I hope you enjoyed your summer and had plenty of time with family and friends. We’ve got a lot of exciting news to share.  As you probably know by now, our main alumni event of the year, Rock the Lawn was a big success. We are grateful to all of the AHA alumni who came out and had a fun time together!  Now we hope to keep the alumni momentum going with more fun activities for our wonderful alumni - YOU! Please read on!

AHA Homecoming is Friday, September 30!

Homecoming 2016

Homecoming is about alumni returning home to see classmates and teachers and to cheer on the Stars! We hope you return for AHA Homecoming and the Activities Hall of Fame Ceremony on Friday, September 30. In addition, Pete Dysart is hoping that AHA alumni who played in the band would consider playing with the AHA Pep Band prior to and after the game. Activities Hall of Fame Ceremony

The 2016 AHA Activities Hall of Fame ceremony will take place prior to the Homecoming football game in the AHA commons. Please join us to celebrate our 2016 inductees. The HOF reception will begin at 5:15 pm and the induction ceremony will begin at 6 pm. The AHA football game begins at 7 pm and the inductees will also be honored at halftime of the game. This year’s inductees are:

 

 

 

 

 The Stars Are Out Tonight

Stars Are Out Tonight 2016

The Stars Are Out Tonight has become an awesome AHA tradition for the entire community. It’s perfect for alumni of all ages but perhaps especially for those with school-aged kids.  This year it will take place on the AHA Grass Field from 5pm-7pm on Friday September 9.  At 7pm the AHA Stars Football Team will square off against Chanhassen. The event includes music, food, grilling, photo booth and games for kids of all ages.  Come early for the party and stay for the AHA Football Game!!!

 AHA Volleyball Alumni Night

Volleyball Alumni Night

Former AHA Volleyball players and all alums, please join us on Thursday, September 15 as the highly-ranked AHA Stars take on conference rival Columbia Heights at 7pm.  

Bring the family, enjoy the action and stay after the game for an alumni reception where you can meet the players and coaches. This team is going to be fun to watch! RSVP to Jesse Foley at jfoley@ahastars.org

AHA Super Soccer Saturday

Former AHA Soccer players and all alums, please join us on Saturday, September 17 for Super Soccer Saturday as our highly rated boys and girls teams take on crosstown rival Washburn.  

Home at StarDome, Boys Varsity vs. Washburn at 5:30pm

Home at StarDome, Girls Varsity vs. Washburn at 7pm

*There will not be an alumni tent or reception table.

 

 

 

Memorial Services

 

AHA Memorial Services for 2016-17

AHA Alumni and AHA Community members are invited and encouraged to attend our Memorial Services.  To have a loved one remembered during the service please contact Sue DePauw at sdepauw@ahastars.org.AHA Memorial Services have become a special tradition at AHA.  These services allow our community to gather in prayer and support for those families who have lost a loved one.  

Dates for the 2016-17 AHA Memorial Services are:

  • November 4, 2016
  • February 3, 2017
  • May 5, 2017

 

 

AHA Grandparents Day is October 7

Grandparents invitations were mailed on August 26. If you are a current AHA Grandparent but did not receive an invitation please contact Sue DePauw at sdepauw@ahastars.org.

 AHA Golf TournamentGolf Tournament PhotoThe 2016 AHA Shoot for the Stars golf tournament was a big success.  Over 120 golfers participated in this fun event.   Please consider putting a group of classmates or friends together for this fun event on Wednesday June 14, 2017!

AHA Class reunions are so much fun. What better way to see your classmates, catch up and have some laughs?  Many 2016 Reunions have taken place already, some are still to come.  See below the many details for each of the classes.

Class of 1956,  60-year reunion was held on Friday, July 29.  Great turnout, wonderful event!!!

Class of 1966,  50-Year Reunion was August 20 at AHA. Great turnout, wonderful event!!!
