Soph Victoria W. wins state essay contest

AHA Sophomore Victoria W. has been named local champion of the 2016 Knights of Columbus Essay Contest.  Marian Council #3827 in Bloomington sponsored the contest.  Victoria not only won the local contest but also won 1st Place at the state level and will now compete in the International contest.

Each contestant wrote their essays on the theme of: “The Importance of Religious Freedom”.

The goal of the Knights of Columbus Essay Contest is to give students the opportunity to define the role of a Catholic citizen in a free society, and to strengthen the bond between the Knights of Columbus and the youth in the community.
