AHA Alumni Staff and alumni volunteers are planning our first ever all-school reunion and music festival called “Rock the Lawn” for Friday, June 24! Alumni volunteers have been working hard to make this event the biggest AHA alumni event ever. The objective of this event is simple, to bring together all AHA community members, alumni along with current and former AHA staff and the Sisters of St. Joseph to have fun! Music headliner is AHA Alumni Paul Peterson ’83 who has played with many of the top musicians in the world including Stevie Wonder, Prince, Morris Day, the Steve Miller Band and many more. To read more about Paul Peterson, go to http://paulpeterson.com. We are also excited to announce that Mick Sterling and the Studbrothers will open for Paul Peterson. Rock the Lawn will also include a Mass, Tours of AHA, Food, Beer Tent, Wine and Games. We are still in need of alumni volunteers to help with our many active committees and we are offering businesses the opportunity to sponsor and advertise. If you would like to learn more about sponsoring Rock the Lawn or to volunteer, contact Jesse Foley. Registration for this event begins on February 26! More details coming very soon!

On November 5th, Jesse Foley ‘89 gathered with 14 AHA alumni who live in the Chicago Area. Fun was had by all as we shared stories, got some new AHA spiritwear (a very big deal) and received an informal school update. The AHA Alumni Office staff love these out of town events, so contact Jesse Foley if you have an idea for an AHA gathering in your city!

AHA Career Day a Big Success Thanks to 16 AHA Alumni for participating in our January College Planning Day. All spots were filled within one week of our request! Our juniors learned a lot from your professional expertise! We are on the lookout for more opportunities to connect AHA Alumni with our current students! If you are interested in helping with our next Career Day, contact Jesse Foley.

AHA Alumni stepped up to memorialize their friend and teammate Joe Cure ‘02 while supporting the Richfield Ice Arena’s “Home of the STARS” project. On December 19 over 25 AHA Alumni Hockey Players gathered together for the Cure Cup. Each player contributed a gift towards the purchase of three Joe Cure lockers in our newly dedicated STARS locker room. Thank you to Brett Heltne ’02 for spearheading this initiative! There are still opportunities to purchase and dedicate a hockey locker or contribute to the project in some other way. If interested, please contact Jesse Foley.

Hopefully you’ve been reading the Communique for years! Recently we’ve made the decision to make the Communique more focused on alumni. YOU! But it’ll only work if you help us with updates, news and your accomplishments. Please consider sending a personal or professional update and picture of yourself, your family or with alumni friends to Jesse Foley at jfoley@ahastars.org. The deadline for submissions is February 28th. Congratulations to Roz Prickel '08, pictured here with her sisters Bernie '14, Helene '10 and Veronica '12 at her wedding shower in 2015.
