Two students studying
Updated

Last year, AHA launched a school-wide CliftonStrengths initiative. This new program empowers students, teachers, and staff to identify, develop, and celebrate their unique talents. This spring, we are taking that mission a step further by helping students bridge the gap between their natural gifts and their future goals.

Here is how our students will be utilizing their strengths over the next three months:

January - College & Career Alignment:

  • 10th & 11th Grade: Students are heading back into their results to see how their strengths have evolved.
  • Junior Workshop: On January 27, experts from Creighton University will join our juniors to discuss how their top themes should inform college choices, potential majors, and long-term career paths.
  • Real-World Application: Juniors will also participate in job shadows and interviews, followed by a reflection on how these professional experiences align with their unique talent profiles.

February - 10th Grade Focus: Sophomores will dive into a secondary personality and career assessment. AHA staff will meet with them individually to synthesize these results with their CliftonStrengths, helping them define their natural abilities with more precision.

March - 9th Grade Kickoff: Our freshmen will officially take their own CliftonStrengths assessments. They will begin the foundational work of understanding how to leverage their talents for academic success and personal growth.

At AHA, we don’t just want students to know what they are good at; we want them to know how to use those gifts to lead a life of purpose.
