The Stars have had an incredible fall sports season! With big wins and outstanding records across our seven teams, our athletes have countless accomplishments to be proud of! We are proud to celebrate four Tri-Metro Conference championships for boys soccer, girls soccer, girls tennis, and volleyball!

Academy of Holy Angels is committed to excellence in the whole-person development of each of our students. With this mission focus in mind, AHA’s Athletics Department partnered with Human Powered Health to provide our student-athletes a comprehensive performance assessment and monitoring program for the 2025-2026 school year. These advanced sports performance assessments, typically reserved for collegiate and professional teams, are designed to provide athletes with a data-informed approach to improve conditioning, performance, and recovery.

During the fall sports season, our cross country, football, boys soccer, girls soccer, and volleyball teams added advanced performance assessments from Human Powered Health to their training. This program has been expanded from a pilot program conducted with the football, girls soccer, and track and field teams in 2024-25.

Through baseline testing at Human Powered Health’s Edina facility and weekly force plate assessments in the AHA weight room, this unique partnership aims to keep athletes at the top of their game, injury-free, and performing at the highest level throughout the season. This new collaboration involves weekly lab testing on specialized equipment for AHA's teams that allows coaches and players to quickly and accurately analyze each athlete's unique physiology.

Throughout the fall sports season, Human Powered Health has worked with participating teams to analyze VO2max, gait, TruStrength muscular assessment, Wingate analysis, and other metrics. The data gathered during this analysis allows for personalized training plans that make practice and recovery more efficient. More efficient training and recovery means more time for our Stars to focus on other aspects of their lives, including academics, personal relationships, family, and faith.

We are proud to have the only program of this kind in the state, not only for its role in keeping our athletes safe and healthy while driving them to success, but also for enabling them to reach their fullest potential in all aspects of their lives.
