Thank you to reporter Ellen Galles and her team at KSTP who were on campus on Tuesday, November 12 to highlight one of Academy of Holy Angels' newest courses, Referee Training. The class is part of the school's physical education curriculum and was recently developed as a way to find a solution to the state-wide referee shortage. It has been well-received by the students and faculty. At the end of this school year, nearly 60 AHA students will receive certification to officiate baseball, softball, football, soccer and basketball.
One of the four tenets of school's cultural program called The AHA Way is 'to be part of the solution'. This class, developed jointly by Carolyn Arnebeck, athletic director, and Lisa Stocco, physical and health education department chair and teacher, is an example of bringing The AHA Way to life.
