2025 Shooting Sports State Champions

Congratulations to the Holy Angels/Richfield High School Shooting Sports Team and head coach Bob Brotzel who are Class 1A State Champions in Trap Shooting! On Monday, June 9, they finished 1st in their Class 1A with a total score of 455 in the wind, rain, and chilly temps.  This 9-day tournament at the Alexandria Shooting Park in Alexandria, MN is listed as the world’s largest high school championship!

Three Holy Angels participants contributed to winning the championship. The six total contributors are: Jake Nelson ‘25 (AHA), Alex Garcia ‘29 (RHS), Marco Soriano ‘26 (RHS), Nina Slingsby ‘26 (AHA), Ben Citron ‘29 (AHA) and Max De Roma ‘26 (RHS). All six students medaled and Jake Nelson was the top overall scorer.

The Skeet Championship will be Wednesday, June 25th and Nationals are in Mason, Michigan starting July 9.
