The Class of 2025 Baccalaureate Mass and Awards Ceremony took place on the evening of Wednesday, May 28. Mass was presided by Fr. Mike Tix. Following Mass, senior awards were announced, and students were honored. Andrew Vitek, science teacher, was the keynote speaker as voted on by the senior class.

The graduating class and their families will celebrate graduation on Sunday, June 1 at 4:00 p.m. for the 2025 Commencement Ceremony.

Each year, the graduating class is asked to choose one young man and one young woman from their class to be recognized for attempting to live according to Gospel values.

  • The St. Thomas More Medal originated in 1974 and is presented to the senior boy who most exemplifies the qualities of Christian life. A special St. Thomas More Medal has been created solely for Academy of Holy Angels. The 51st recipient of the St. Thomas More Medal is: Nathan Ritz.
     
  • The Mary Medal originated in 1954 and is presented to the senior girl who most exemplifies qualities of the Christian Life. A special Mary Medal has been created solely for Academy of Holy Angels. The 70th recipient of the Mary medal is: Jada George.

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) Diploma recognizes students who have dedicated themselves to mastery of this rigorous course of study and who can demonstrate and apply 21st century skills in critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in both curricular and co-curricular areas. The Sons of the American Revolution Bronze Good Citizen Award is awarded for scholarship, leadership, character, service, and an appreciation of patriotism to: Evelyn Jastrow.

The Star Activities Award is given to a senior who has excelled in activities including the arts, academic clubs, intramural activities, and/or student leadership. This year, the award is presented to: Jada George.


This year’s Academics-Arts-Athletics Award from the Minnesota State High School League is presented to a senior that has achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, actively participated in a League-sponsored athletic program, and performed in a League-sponsored fine arts activity. Congratulations to John Schletty and Ellie Krings.


The Athena Award is presented annually by the Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce to an Outstanding Woman Athlete. Congratulations, Anya Anderson.


Each year a senior from the Boys Hockey Team is given the Tim Sullivan Award for being the most spirited hockey player. This year’s award is presented to Logan Ciresi.


Each year the coaches and administration select one graduate to be honored for outstanding contribution to athletics at Holy Angels. The student selected receives the AHA Star Athletic Award and has his or her name engraved on a commemorative plaque on display at AHA. The 2024-2025 award is presented to Henry Lechner.


Each year, the staff selects a senior to receive an award which represents outstanding service to the school community throughout high school years. The AHA Star Service Award for 2024-2025 is presented to Magdalena Capitani.


The AHA Student Government Award is given to the senior on Student Government who best exemplifies service, dedication, leadership, and promoting the values of Holy Angels Student Government. This year’s award goes to Sienna Dhariwahl and Nathan Ritz.


Two college-bound seniors will each receive a scholarship for the college of their choice from the Kopp Family Foundation. Selection of the recipients is based on academic achievement, leadership, and service within Academy community and active support of activities. Congratulations to Emily Llapa and Elizabeth Mejia Quintanilla.
