Academy of Holy Angels is excited to welcome Alex McNamara '08 as the new head coach of our Boys Lacrosse program! During his time as a STAR, Alex was a 4-year player with a state tournament appearance as a sophomore and First Team All-State as a senior.

Previously, Alex was an assistant coach at AHA from 2012 to 2015 and served as head coach at the University of Minnesota Duluth, coaching UMD to its first No. 1 national ranking. He has coached 110+ collegiate games, earned three conference titles, and made six MCLA National Tournament appearances.

Coach McNamara said of his new role, "I am excited to rejoin the Academy of Holy Angels community. I have wanted to return to coaching, and AHA was the place I wanted to do it. I coach because I love the game, but I stay in coaching for the people. My coaching style emphasizes accountability and diligence while always putting the team first. Ultimately, my purpose is to help players develop skills and relationships that last a lifetime beyond the field."

Go, STARS!!
