On Tuesday, February 10, the AHA community gathered to officially induct the newest members of the National Honor Society (NHS).

During the ceremony, senior NHS members receive blue and gold cords in recognition of their membership. They will wear these chords at graduation in the spring. Junior inductees received membership pins. 

The National Honor Society is a prestigious national organization composed of high school students who excel in four core areas: Scholarship, Service, Character, and Leadership. At AHA, membership is a significant achievement. To be eligible for consideration, students must complete the first trimester of their junior year with a cumulative GPA of 3.6667 or higher and at least 24 graded credits. Following the academic qualification, candidates undergo a rigorous evaluation by a faculty committee to ensure they embody the tenets of the NHS before final selection.
