2026 Academic Reception

The Academic Reception is an annual fall event to recognize students who have attained High Honors or the Scholar of Distinction designation in academics for all three trimesters of the previous academic year (2025-26). To qualify, High Honors students must have earned a grade point average (GPA) of 3.6667 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Scholars of Distinction must have earned a GPA of 4.0 or higher.

This year's event took place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. The program opened in prayer, led by Natalie Ahlm, English teacher and 2026 Lunde Award Recipient. The guest speaker was Thomas Meacham ‘08. President Dr. David Sorkin and Principal Heidi Foley led the presentation of the 2026 Academic Awards. We are proud to have honored over 200 students at this year's reception!
