Football

The STARS Football Program competes in the Skyway Yellow District and Section 5AAAA.

The team had 13 members recognized for All-District Awards in 2024 (Damian Devine, Isaiah Bird-Winston, Tanner Zellmer, Mac Nolen, Emmett Anderson, Dalton Deboer, Daniel Devine, John McCarten, Gavin Coughlin, Reese Skelton, Anderson Stark, Aiden Nygren, and Matt Meyer). 

The team won the District in 2020, 2021, and 2022. The team has also advanced to the state tournament in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024. In 2021, AHA Running Back Emmett Johnson was named Mr. Football. 

In 2024, the STARS earned key victories over Benilde-St. Margaret's (twice), DeLaSalle, Hutchinson, and SMB. 

AHA typically offers two levels - Varsity and JV/C. They usually practice after school in the StarDome or SW turfed fields.
