Go STARS!

At AHA, our core mission is to help students reach their full potential and in doing so, become servant leaders for life! Participation in sports and activities plays a significant role in how students live out this mission and gain these skills. Through activities, students meet new friends, develop their gifts, serve others and have fun. With just over 620 students and 68 sports and activities from which to choose, AHA offers multiple opportunities for every student. These opportunities simply do not exist in the same way at much larger high schools. During a time when many students are forced to focus on just one activity, at AHA, we encourage students to try as many activities as they can!

AHA is well-known for our Faith in Action program. Through this initiative students attend Mass, involve themselves in community service with their team, and offer daily prayer as they strive to be their best each day.

AHA has a unique balance of rich tradition and excellence while still providing opportunities for all. Please consider the following.

  • More than 96% of AHA students participate in AHA activities
  • AHA offers 68 sports, activities and clubs
  • 9th grade students cannot be cut from teams and it's very rare at any level
  • Our theater program is recognized internationally as a top performing arts program. Click here to learn more about our theater program!
  • AHA sports teams have won 11 state championships in the last 11 years
  • Interested in Robotics? STEM Diploma? Social Justice Club, Knowledge Bowl and so much more!

The AHA Admissions Department works to link prospective students with AHA Activities and those coaches and moderators who lead them. Contact us directly to find the numerous ways to be involved! AHA offers clinics, camps, tournaments, activities fairs, summer programs, grade school-nights, and many more opportunities. So, check with us to see how you can be a STAR!

Star Power

The Star Power Speed and Strength Program is an opportunity for student athletes to maximize their athletic potential. Star Power training represents the most advanced athletic training technologies available. These technologies include use of interval treadmill training, ground-based training, plyometrics, strength training, and resistance core training. They are designed to improve all aspects of athletic performance—strength, power, speed, agility, injury prevention and flexibility.

Besides teaching the body how to move, the Star Power Speed and Strength Program has the ability to show athletes how to successfully conquer the mental and physical components of their sport. Athletes will learn how to focus, gain confidence, and BELIEVE in themselves. The knowledge and skill athletes will gain from this program can be applied to any sport and throughout an entire athletic career.

Grade 9 Athletes ($125)

This program is similar to the program for male  and female athletes in grades 10 to 12. During the weightlifting part of the program, we will spend a considerable amount of time teaching the proper fundamentals of the lifts. As athletes demonstrate they can properly execute lifts, we will allow them to work on gradual strength gains.
