Academy of Holy Angels welcomes families of all faith backgrounds. Our student body is currently 63% Catholic. All students are required to take daily theology classes and attend our all-school masses once a month. You can learn more about our theology department below. 

The AHA Learning Center provides students with support, structure, and monitoring of their academic progress. It houses both the Learning Variations (LV) Program and the Response to Intervention (RTI) Program. The LV Program is designed to provide support and accommodations for students with a diagnosed learning need through the development of an LV Plan. The RTI program works with students who need more academic support but do not have an LV plan. 

Our students come from all over the metro. We currently welcome students from 110 different schools. 

The current student:teacher ratio at AHA is 13:1. Our class sizes typically range between 150-175 students. These class sizes offer our students a variety of opportunities both in and out of the classroom. 

Our typical school day begins at 7:50 AM and ends at 2:40 PM. Our students attend all seven periods on Monday, Tuesday, and Fridays. On Wednesdays (Periods 1-4) and Thursdays (Periods 5-7 with extended Homeroom), we utilize a block schedule. 

Students wear uniforms at AHA. Uniforms can be purchased at Donald's Uniform. Our STAR Spirit Store does sell a few uniform approved option as well. 

We do have out-of-uniform days throughout the school year for special events. 

AHA offers over 50 extra-curricular options for students. We encourage students to get involved in a variety of activities during their high school experience. AHA incorporates a NO CUT policy for incoming freshmen. This is a great opportunity for students to get involved, try new things, and meet friends. You can view extra-curricular options below. 

Yes, it is common for freshmen to have the opportunity to make a varsity or jv level team at AHA. This does vary from program to program. You can visit our individual athletic and activities pages to see how many teams are offered in each program.

Applications for the Class of 2028 will be available in October. We encourage these families to complete their full application by January 6, which is our Priority Application Date. These families will be considered in our first round application decisions, and will also be eligible for certain scholarships. 

If you are looking to attend school for the 2023-24 school, you will want to submit your application as soon as possible. 

AHA offers a variety of different options to fit your schedule so that families get a sense of our community. We will begin these events in the fall. This is the best time to explore high school options as our Priority Application Date is early January. 

Our Fall Open House is our largest event of the school year. This takes place on October 5 and is great for all prospective families. 

We offer family tours and student shadow days for students in grades 8-10 as well. These events fill quickly so we encourage families to register early. Visit the link below to learn more.

We also host a variety of panels throughout the school year. Prospective families have really enjoyed our student and parent panels. 

Academy of Holy Angels partners with families to make our transformative education affordable. Serving families of all socio-economic backgrounds has always been a core value of AHA. Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to provide need-based scholarships to over 50% of our students.

We know that Catholic high school tuition can be a challenging consideration for some families. However, we ask that you don’t allow this concern to deter you from pursuing AHA’s amazing experience for your child(ren). 

AHA has many tools to meet the varied tuition needs of families. We provide need-based work study grants, St. Joseph merit scholarships, and over 50 named scholarships. We also offer a financial aid appeal process for families who have special circumstances or who have experienced changes to their financial situations.  

The cost of tuition for the 2023-24 school year is $16,995.

AHA uses the services of Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) to determine financial need. To be considered for aid, each family is required to complete a TADS financial aid application. Follow the links below to learn more.
