Learning Support

Learning

Welcome to the Learning Center at Academy of Holy Angels!

At Holy Angels, we recognize that every student learns differently. Our Learning Variations (LV) Program is designed to support students with diagnosed learning needs by providing reasonable accommodations that help them grow into confident, independent learners.

While we strive to support a range of learning needs, available resources and staffing may limit the level of support we can offer. We encourage families to connect with Keri Brenden, our Learning Variations Counselor, to discuss their student’s current learning profile and determine if AHA is the right fit. Please note: accommodations cannot be made without prior disclosure and documentation.

Common accommodations may include:

  • Extended time on classroom assessments (time and one-half)
  • Preferential seating
  • Access to audiobooks
  • Breaking down larger assignments into more manageable steps

Please note: We do not modify the academic curriculum.

Special Education Services

In partnership with Richfield Public Schools, students attending AHA may be eligible for special education services provided through the district. These services are hosted at Richfield High School, in collaboration with AHA.

If at any point during the school year you believe your child may qualify for special education services, please contact Keri Brenden, AHA's Learning Variations Counselor, for guidance on next steps.

For more information about special education services through the Richfield School District, visit Richfield Public Schools or call 612-798-6000.
