AP Testing

AP Testing

Taking the Advanced Placement (AP) exams is an important part of all AP courses. Academy of Holy Angels requires all students to take the AP exam for their AP class. (*The only exception to this is AP Spanish IV as most test takers nationally have 5 years of prep). Scoring well on an AP exam can earn students college credit for their high school class or an advanced placement in the college curriculum. This varies from college to college and is determined by the colleges. Most colleges and universities have this information posted on their web-sites.

AP Test Cost will be added to the TADS billing process in November This is a reminder that if your son or daughter has an AP class, he/she will be taking an AP test in May. The cost for each test is $55.00 and will be collected via TADS beginning in November. The only exception to the TADS collecting process is for International Students. They must work/pay directly with/to the business office c/o Nancy Cullen (612-798-2615). Nancy's office is in the business area on 2nd floor administrative wing. Collections need to be completed by January for test ordering.

(Please note: this does not apply to Pre-AP courses). Pre AP courses are not AP courses and do not have national exams in the spring.

Please do not schedule college visits or vacations during the first two full weeks in May for your AP student scholar here at AHA. Thank you.

Get tips from the AHA guidance dept for helping your student prepare for the exams.
