Academics: Academic Departments

Empowering students to excel academically is an essential part of the mission of the Academy of Holy Angels. AHA offers a broad and rigorous curriculum focused on achieving that goal. To learn more, make a stop at each of our academic departments during your electronic “tour” of Holy Angels.

Accreditation

The Academy of Holy Angels has been an accredited institution since 1933 and currently receives its accreditation through AdvancEd. More information can be found on their website: www.advanc-ed.org

An AHA Extra: Talk about achievement! See what our students have been up to.

Please read the following testimonial from Amy Poehling, AHA alumni and parent regarding the AP credit Joey ‘14 earned at AHA and how it helped him as he moved on to the University of Wisconsin:

“He received 39 credits for his academic work at AHA. Joey started on September 2 at Wisconsin with a total of 41 college credits (it takes 120 for an undergraduate degree).  The additional two credits come from him attending the FTE leadership summer course Steve Werle encourages the kids to attend. He could choose to get done in about 2.5 years or he can go for four years and get more than one undergraduate degree.  The second option is what we are encouraging Joey to do. I know not all schools accept the course work or AP exams but this is a good example of why AHA is a good prep high school.”
