Our School Culture

Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1877, Academy of Holy Angels has a long history steeped in the traditions of our founder's patron, St. Joseph.

Since 2010, the AHA student body has gathered for convocations every Thursday to build community, have fun, pray together, celebrate student and staff successes, share community member stories and celebrate the mission of AHA.  Convocation begins with the student body praying AHA's Prayer of St. Joseph, written by an AHA staff member, and ends with AHA's School Song, also written by AHA staff members.

In 2017, AHA received the MISF School Program award for the AHA Way program, which was developed in order to intentionally create a caring, welcoming, inclusive and respectful school environment at AHA.  Read more about the 4 tenets of the AHA Way.

AHA's Prayer of St. Joseph

St. Joseph, Patron and Protector of the AHA Family
Watch over and protect us
Help us to follow your example
By carrying ourselves as strong and responsible leaders
By speaking through virtuous actions rather than empty words
By guiding and protecting those entrusted to our care
Help us to remember to hold Christ in our hearts
And to present him to the world through the work of our hands
Today and each day of our lives.
Amen.

AHA's School Song

HAIL to the MIGHTY STARS
FIGHT for the BLUE & GOLD
Let's CHEER, CHEER for HOLY ANGELS
SHOUT LOUD and CLEAR
We're going to FACE all the ODDS AGAINST US
WIN, for we STAND TOGETHER
CHEER! CHEER! The BLUE & GOLD
STRAIGHT ON TO VICTORY. RAH! RAH!
