Hall of Fame

The Academy of Holy Angels Activities Hall of Fame is designed to recognize outstanding participants in AHA sports and activities who, through their citizenship and achievements, have brought honor to themselves, their school and the community.  The Hall of Fame also recognizes coaches, moderators and community members who have given of themselves for the betterment of activities at the Academy of Holy Angels. 

Candidates for Membership
Candidates for membership in the Academy of Holy Angels Activities Hall of Fame shall be former Academy of Holy Angel's students and coaches, or other individuals who have met the requirements set forth.

Candidates are eligible through three categories:

Activities: A former Academy of Holy Angels student who performed with excellence and lettered in a Varsity sport or activity.  Nominees must be, or must have been, a credit to the Academy of Holy Angels and the community.  Inductees may be either living or deceased.  Candidates must be an Academy of Holy Angels graduate and out of high school for at least ten (10) years.

Coaches and Moderators: A nominee must be either a former or present coach or moderator who has distinguished himself or herself by demonstration exceptional leadership, character and achievement during his or her tenure at the Academy of Holy Angels.

At Large: A person who has been a loyal and devoted supporter of Academy of Holy Angels' activities.

  • Nancy McMahon Gormley ’53– theater
  • Robert "Bob" Meyer ’79-- baseball, basketball, football
  • Laura Keinz Miller ’85-- soccer, track and field, basketball, softball

Inducted in 2009:

  • Martha Andersen Conners ’79-- cross country, track and field, basketball
  • Jake Schaffer ’84-- hockey, baseball

Inducted in 2010

  • Linda Smith Collins '68--music
  • Bob Hanvik '83--football, basketball, baseball
  • Steve Dolan '88--track, football, baseball

  • Sister Jeanne Lieser, OSF--former coach and teacher
  • The 1975 Girls Basketball Team--winner of the first ever winter state girls basketball tournament
