9/2/2011 ANNUAL DULUTH TRIP BRINGS HOME NINE GOALS AND TWO SHUT OUTS
In true Holy Angels Women's Soccer fashion, the Duluth trip is always a great time to bond for the girls, on and off the field. This year proved no different. The Stars began their trip against the Two Harbors Agates and showed they were on a mission! They beat the Agates 7-0 in the first match Friday evening. The coaching staff was excited to see the players take advantage of several goal scoring opportunities.
"It was great to see the girls get hungry for goals for the entire eighty minutes," said head coach Dave Marshak.
The Stars were prepared for a bigger battle against the Cloquet LumberJills, but still had a scoreless first half. After a re-energizing halftime, the girls came out strong in the second forty minutes. They put away two goals quickly and dominated in the remainder of the match!
8/30/2011 BEARS OVERCOME STARS 3-1
The evening was off to a great start when Junior, Therese Wichmann, assisted eighth grader, Abby Welsch, in scoring the first goal of the game!
