- AHA won the Class A state golf championship in 1994, 1998 and 1999
- The team brought home the Class A third place trophy in 1995 and the Class AA third place trophy in 2000
- The team took the section championship in 2009 and 2010
Here's how players qualify for the AHA golf team: Tryouts are open to anyone who thinks he might have a chance to make the team. The team is made up of the players with the lowest scores during the qualifying rounds. The team usually accepts about 15 players each year. The six with the lowest qualifying scores play on the varsity team; the next six play on the junior varsity team. Rosters can change and be revised during the season.
"The camaraderie and friendships makes playing golf can last well beyond high school. The integrity in the game, and the individual and team challenges posed in competitive golf are elements that players will enjoy throughout life."
--AHA Golf Coach Randy Nelson
