AHA Stars Cross Country is for you! The AHA cross country Stars invite you to become part of the excitement this fall. Athletes of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Many athletes join with no prior running experience.
Running is a GREAT way to get in shape for winter basketball, dance team or hockey tryouts, or to improve fitness for spring lacrosse, baseball, basketball or track and field seasons.
Cross country is a distance running sport that takes place on golf courses, trails, and around lakes. It is a sport where having no previous experience is the norm (95% of our runners have never done any distance running before 9th grade).
During the fall season the team practices Monday-Friday from 3:30-5 p.m. and on Saturday morning at 8 a.m. at AHA.
If you are interested please contact Head Coach Jason Altman at altma014@umn.edu with questions and details for regarding practice times and our “BASIC” program which focuses on preparing cross country athletes to train and compete in distance running.
