Knowledge Bowl
- As a result of its performance in the conference and section competition, the AHA Knowledge Bowl team won spots in the state tournament in both 2011 and 2012.
What is Knowledge Bowl/ Academic Challenge? Who participates? How does it benefit kids?Senior High Knowledge Bowl is an interdisciplinary academic contest designed for students in grades 9-12. Teams of students compete in written and oral rounds by answering questions related to all areas of learning typical of secondary educational programs. The questions test students' recall, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
A team consists of five members (one serves as an alternate). Knowledge Bowl was introduced in Minesota in 1979 with eight high schools participating. Enthusiastic support has increased its numbers to over 820 teams from 290 school districts statewide in 2007-2008.
