VOLUNTEER for STARFEST 2012

Your assistance is needed to create a successful event! Below is a list of areas where volunteers are needed.  Helping with Starfest is a great way to support your child's education and a great way to meet other AHA community members.
 
Before-the-Event Opportunities:

  • Solicitation: help call businesses and/or individuals to secure item donations for the auction
  • Advertisements/Sponsorships: help secure business sponsorships and catalog advertisements to defer event expenses
  • Event Organizing: track donated items, create signs/displays for donated items, photograph items for online auction and/or organize donated items into appropriate categories for the auction.

 
Day-of-Event Opportunities:

  • Morning Set-Up: unpack and display auction items
  • Decorating: help create a festive atmosphere

 
Night-of-Event Opportunities:

  • Registration: check-in guests as they arrive
  • Raffle Ticket Sellers: sell tickets for raffle prizes/games
  • Silent Auction Closers: organize each winning bidder's items so they are ready to be collected after the live auction
  • Live Auction Spotters: help the auctioneer by signaling when someone is bidding on a live auction item
  • Cashiers: process payment for purchased auction items
  • Clean-Up Crew: help clean-up after the festivities are over
