Philanthropy: Supporting our Mission, Powering our Programs

For more than 75 years, the Academy of Holy Angels has prepared its students for real life by providing a rigorous, nurturing learning environment that balances the three "A's." -- Academics, Arts and Athletics -- all grounded in a faith-filled context.

Our students clearly thrive in this kind of learning environment.  Holy Angels is a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence and is accredited as a college preparatory school by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.  More than 95 percent of our students attend college after graduation and 90 percent of the student body participates in co-curricular activities.  The Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis recently recognized our student and staff service efforts by presenting us with their Outstanding Service Award.

Because the Academy of Holy Angels is an independent school, it does not receive tax dollars to support its programs.  Therefore, Holy Angels depends on its friends -- current and former parents, alumnae/i, the Sisters of St. Joseph and Catholic school supporters -- to underwrite the school's activities.  Together, they have helped Holy Angels attract a bright and motivated student body, recruit and retain outstanding teachers, and offer a rigorous and challenging academic and co-curricular program.

Holy Angels raises the funds it needs through its Annual Fund and  through periodic capital fundraising drives.
